EduSeed —

Tailored support

Displacement as a factor shouldn’t stand in the way of a child’s education.

But too often, it does through a language barrier, a missing laptop, a town with no tutors, an art class a family can’t afford.

These are the requests we share at EduSeed. Each child has different needs, and you can help meet them with whatever support you’re able to offer.

Support the pupils

Meet the pupils

Each pupil has their own needs, hopes and interests. Explore their stories and choose a way to help — whether it’s funding a class, providing a laptop or supporting another step in their education.

Have something else to offer? A laptop, a subscription or a skill you could share? We’d love to hear from you.

    EduSeed began with conversations

Working with pupils at Teachers for Ukrainian Kids, a project of Lyzeum 2 e.V., we kept coming across things that made a real difference to a child’s education but had little to do with lessons themselves.
Some pupils were joining classes on their phones because they didn’t have laptops. One child needed help covering the cost of an after-school activities they loved. Another needed financial support to translate a school certificate.

Whenever we could, we reached out to our donors and supporters and tried to find a way to help.
Over time, we realised there were many more children with needs like these — including children who had never studied with us. We ran a survey and began thinking about how to make this kind of support more accessible.

    Get involved

EduSeed brings together children who need support and people who can offer it. Whether you’re looking for help for your child, want to support a pupil, or have something else to contribute, there’s a way to take part.

That’s how EduSeed came about: a space where children’s needs can meet the people who want to help. Sometimes, a relatively small contribution can open up an opportunity that would otherwise remain out of reach.

EduSeed is open to pupils of any grade who left Ukraine after Russia’s full-scale invasion and now live in Europe.
